Stephen Strasburg 4th Inning

It should be noted that amidst all the Strasburg hype, Jeff Karstens has pitched a solid 3 innings of work with his only blip being Zimmerman’s solo shot.

7:51- Neil Walker takes a 1-0 curveball outside. That thing just DROPS.

7:52- Walker laces a ball into rightfield bringing the youngster into his first jam. One on none out.

7:53- With Walker on first, Strasburg must be thanking the Nats coaches that Pudge Rodriguez is behind the plate.

7:54- Milledge takes a 2-1 fastball into right putting 2 on and none out. Should be noted that all batters are hitting the ball to the opposite field.

7:55- Garrett Jones at the plate. The Pirates best power hitter is going to swing for the fences here.

7:56- 0-2 pitch to Jones brushes him back with some 97 MPH chin music.

7:57- Full count to Jones and he breaks his bat on a ground ball to SS Ian Desmond and he turns the 6-4-3 double play for 2 outs. Neil Walker moves to 3rd.

7:58- Delwyn Young with a chance to be the hero takes a ball to deep right field it’s going back and GONE!!!!! This crowd seems like they just lost the World Series game 7. 2-1 Pirates and the first earned runs of his career.

7:59- Andy LaRoche swings at the first pitch and pops it up to 1B Adam Dunn. After 4 innings pitched, Strasburg has given up 4 hits 2 earned runs and 6 K’s.
